How to Access the App

You must be registered for Microelectronics UK before you can log in. The app uses the same email address you registered with — if you haven't registered yet, do that first, then come back to set up the app.

How to Use the App

01 Build Your Profile

Why it matters: a complete profile helps you network and makes you easier to find.

  • Open the app and log in with the event code.
  • Tap your profile icon (top right).
  • Add your photo, job title, company, and a short bio.
  • Save changes.
💡 Tip: profiles with a photo get twice as many connection requests.
02 Create & Exchange Digital Business Cards
▾

Why it matters: swap details instantly and never lose a connection.

  • Go to Business Cards in the menu.
  • Fill in your details (name, job title, company, email, LinkedIn).
  • Exchange by scanning another delegate's QR code, or let them scan yours.
  • Find all contacts under Your Connections.
💡 Tip: customise your card design to stand out.
03 Book 1-2-1 Meetings

Why it matters: lock in time with key contacts before schedules fill up.

  • Tap Networking / Meetings in the menu.
  • Browse attendees or exhibitors and tap Request Meeting.
  • Select a time and location (lounge, meeting area, exhibitor stand).
  • Confirm and wait for acceptance.
💡 Tip: meetings can be scheduled in-person on the day too.
04 Stay Updated with Notifications
▾

Why it matters: don't miss schedule changes, prize draws, or announcements.

  • Enable push notifications for the app on your phone.
  • Check the Messages / Notifications area.
  • Follow calls to action (session reminders, prize updates, etc.).
05 Personalise Your Schedule
▾

Why it matters: with 120+ speakers across three stages, your agenda keeps you on track.

  • Tap Agenda in the main menu.
  • Browse sessions by stage (Semiconductors UK, Photonics UK, Embedded Systems UK).
  • Tap the ticket icon to save sessions.
  • View your plan under My Schedule.
💡 Tip: enable notifications to get reminders before each session.
06 Join Gamification Challenges

Why it matters: earn points, climb the leaderboard, and win prizes.

  • Tap Gamification in the menu.
  • Check your challenges and points, including exchanging a business card (10 points), uploading a profile photo (10 points), and customising your business card (20 points).
  • Track your progress on the leaderboard.
💡 Tip: the more you interact, the better your chance of winning.
07 View Speakers
▾

Why it matters: plan who you want to hear from across all stages.

  • Tap Speakers in the menu.
  • Browse the full list or filter by stage.
  • Tap a speaker to see their bio, session title, and time.
  • Add their session directly to My Schedule.
08 View Exhibitors
▾

Why it matters: navigate 175+ exhibitors and find stands most relevant to you.

  • Tap Exhibitors in the menu.
  • Search by company name or filter by category (semiconductors, photonics, embedded systems).
  • Tap to view exhibitor details, product focus, and stand location.
  • Favourite exhibitors or book a meeting with them.
💡 Tip: use the interactive floorplan to map your route around Excel London.
09 Use the Floorplan

Why it matters: quickly navigate Excel London and make the most of your time.

  • Tap Floorplan in the menu.
  • Pinch to zoom and move around the map.
  • Tap stands, stages, or features for details.
10 Use the Scanner
▾

Why it matters: instantly capture attendee and exhibitor info, and event features, without swapping business cards or brochures.

  • Tap Scanner in the app menu.
  • Point your camera at a QR code — you'll find them on badges and at event features (Skills Zone, Startup Launchpad, gamification checkpoints).
💡 Tip: keep your own QR code handy under My Profile so others can scan you too.
