Uthman Abdullahi is an engineering R&D professional whose work spans intelligent mobility, vehicle safety, renewable energy and sustainable engineering. Based at the University of East London, he contributes to experimental research, technical education and laboratory innovation across engineering departments and energy systems. With a background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive systems and sustainability, Uthman’s research has examined vulnerabilities in modern vehicles and system-level approaches to improving their safety and security. He has also published work on electric and hybrid vehicles and the decarbonization of public transport. Drawing on experience across academia and the automotive sector, he brings an interdisciplinary perspective to intelligent vehicle technologies, functional safety, cybersecurity, energy efficiency and the responsible integration of emerging technologies.
