Poonam Yadav

Dr. Poonam Yadav is an Associate Professor at the University of York and Principal Investigator of the UKRI-funded REMOTE: Resilient and Secure Multi-Access Interoperable Communication Fabric for TinyEdge. She is also the Co-lead of CHEDDAR: Communications Hub for Empowering Distributed Cloud Computing Applications and Research. She specialises in AI-driven network security, distributed systems, and IoT frameworks.

Dr. Yadav leads the SYSTRON Lab at the University of York, focusing on system resilience and interoperability. With a Ph.D. from Imperial College London and research  roles at IBM, University of Cambridge, and Imperial, her work has significantly influenced AI-integrated networking. She has authored over 60 publications in leading journals and conferences, serves on top conference committees, and was recognised in Onalytica’s 2022 “Who’s Who in IoT”.

Throughout her career, she has researched various aspects of edge and IoT applications, infrastructure, networking, and protocols, examining them from perspectives such as resilience, security, privacy, latency, seamless integration, communication, computation, and energy efficiency. Beyond academia, she actively engages in public talks and policy discussions on emerging technologies.
