Pierre Drezet

Director , inx limited
Pierre is a systems engineer with 20 years experience developing intelligent connected systems. As a control engineer with a PHD in machine learning, he has applied these disciplines widely in commercial embedded systems as well as large-scale earth and space data science projects. Pierre has aggregated 25 years of embedded software know-how into a universal software platform that shift the integration costs and benefits away from OEMs and service providers. The open source platform, inxware, supports ML inference, machine vision, IoT connectivity, GUIs, AV rendering, and cyber-security and includes no-code IDEs for engineered solutions at the edge. This was conceived in the early days of machine vision for industrial applications, where the separation of integration and business logic concerns is essential, like it now for edge-AI too. Alongside developing inxware, Pierre has worked on 100s of consulting projects from high-stakes digital IPTV platforms to R&D discovery projects for large and small businesses. Projects have included smart domestic energy systems, media content analysis, smart-home products, leak-prevention systems, machine vision for robotics, infotainment products and many IoT connectivity and OS integrations. Pierre also provides advice to SMEs and large companies on IoT product cybersecurity, technology capability and product roadmaps. The common factor in all Pierre’s projects has been resolving the systems integration tax for customers to adopt smarter and more efficient technologies. One of his passion projects includes enabling smarter energy use on domestic electrified energy systems. Such technologies help energy companies use renewable energy more effectively, but the end-user product integration costs are extremely challenging for OEMs in this sector. Pierre has acquired a broad understanding of the wider commercial and regulatory ecosystems in this sector and is always happy to support OEMs aiming to step into fray!
