Nikki has worked in Systems Engineering across the Earth Observation Space Systems division of Airbus Defence and Space in the UK for 19 years, both for the parent company and also with subsidiary SSTL. She is an early phase mission specialist, and has worked on early mission development and enabling technologies for a lot of her career, including the base platform for ESA's HydroGNSS mission and the in-situ instrument interface management for Solar Orbiter. She has a strong passion for sustainable use of space, and campaigns for awareness about better design practices to reduce the impact we make on the space environment. Her experience spans across the full range of space-based ISR mission types. She also works closely with the downstream operations and processing teams in the UK to plan for data fusion, integration with other sources, and to plan for integration of AI developments within this space.
