Kirill Kalinin is a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research Cambridge working across AI systems, optimisation, and novel computing architectures. He co-developed optimisation and machine-learning algorithms for Microsoft’s Analog Optical Computer, applying the platform to neural-network inference, financial transaction settlement, and compressed sensing for MRI. More broadly, his research spans LLM training and inference, agentic systems, and hardware-aware AI co-design.
