Dr Jonas Gobert is Managing Director of the Semiconductor Association within ZVEI, the German Electrical and Digital Industry Association. In this role, he represents the interests of the German and European semiconductor industry towards policymakers, public authorities, and key stakeholders across the semiconductor value chain. His work focuses on industrial policy, technology sovereignty, innovation, and the development of a competitive and resilient semiconductor ecosystem in Europe. Prior to joining ZVEI, Dr Gobert spent around a decade as a management consultant, advising clients on strategy, public affairs, and regulatory issues. He holds a doctorate in Political Science and has extensive experience at the intersection of technology, economics, and policymaking. His professional background combines analytical expertise with a deep understanding of political processes, enabling him to bridge the perspectives of industry, government, and academia in support of Europe's technological competitiveness.
