Ingo Lüdtke

Ingo received his PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Glamorgan in 1998. Before joining the Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult, he worked for Sanken Electric, a Japanese power semiconductor and power supply manufacturer, holding various roles in their European operation, including manager and technical lead on three-phase motor control hardware and software design, technical director and deputy managing director.
At the Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult, he leads the Power Electronics team, working with industry, academia and government to accelerate the commercial adoption of advanced power electronics and compound semiconductor technologies across automotive, aerospace and AI data centre applications.
In 2020, Ingo was awarded an Honorary Visiting Professor title from Cardiff University. His research interests are in motor control, optimisation, modelling and applications of wide-bandgap compound semiconductor power devices.
