Technical Director, Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC)

Dr Lee Hing Wah is a professional technologist and experienced researcher in the field of semiconductor technologies and ecosystem development in areas such as IC design, advanced packaging, WBGSs and other niche areas such as AI devices, memristors, etc. 

He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (MEMS) from the University of Science Malaysia (USM) and boasts over 20 years of industrial experience. He has been involved in the R&D development of nanomaterials and 2D-NM synthesis and characterisation (ferromagnetic nanoparticles, metal oxide nanowires, carbon nanotubes, graphene, and their derivatives). Incorporation of nanomaterials on MEMS and NEMS device platforms for sensors and electronics applications. He has been involved in the development of printed, flexible, and wearable electronics, which has resulted in more than 20 granted patents and over 50 international journal publications. 

He is currently the Technical Director of SIDEC and responsible for shaping the Selangor state government as well as the national semiconductor policy. He is a pivotal member of the technical advisor for national policy, such as the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS), National E&E Technology Roadmap, Malaysia Silicon Vision (Malaysia-ARM), etc.
