Henrik Madsen, CEO of SPIO Systems and founded SPIO Systems in 2020 with a mission to commercialise the groundbreaking SPIO manufacturing technology, which enables new applications in a volume previously impossible with traditional optical engine designs. With a Master’s degree in Optics and Mechanical Engineering from Aalborg University, Henrik brings over 30 years of experience in the optical industry. His expertise spans classical optics as well as micro-optics at the wafer level, with a particular focus on the latter over the past 15 years. Henrik’s career includes: 8 years at Ibsen Photonics, where he worked in R&D in diffractive optics. 10 years at Kaleido Technology, leading product development and management in ultra-precision optics and wafer-level glass moulding. Co-founding Millpond Optics as CTO, where he contributed to the production of custom optics and tooling. Henrik’s deep technical knowledge and entrepreneurial drive position SPIO Systems at the forefront of miniaturised optical innovation.
