Dr. Ginu Rajan is the Director of Centre for Engineering Research in Intelligent Sensors and Systems (CeRISS) at Cardiff Metropolitan University and is also a Reader (Associate Professor) in Sensor Technologies.  Dr. Rajan has an extensive portfolio of global research in the fields of photonic sensors, smart composites, biomedical sensors and materials, and structural health monitoring. He has led several projects in UK and Australia, and has extensively collaborated with Industries and has also secured grants over £2.5 Million from agencies such as Ser Cymru; Wales Innovation Network; Australian Research Council; Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, Australian Govt as PI/Co-I. He is an assessor for several funding agencies in the UK, Europe and Australia and also involved in the organisation of several conferences and workshops. He has published over 180+ articles in journals/conferences and has two books and two patents to his credits. He has supervised 7 PhDs and 1 MPhil to completion.
