Andy McLean

Andy McLean is the CEO of the UK Semiconductor Centre, a publicly backed national hub created to unite, promote, and grow the UK's semiconductor sector. Andy brings more than 35 years of semiconductor industry leadership in the United States, specializing in building and scaling high-performing global teams. He most recently served as Corporate Vice President of the Communications and Cloud group at Analog Devices, where he oversaw a $1B+ business spanning wireless communications and datacenter technology. Prior to Analog Devices, Andy spent 30 years in key engineering and senior executive positions at Texas Instruments and National Semiconductor. He earned his BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering at the University of West Scotland and is a graduate of the MIT Sloan Enterprise Leadership Program. Before joining the UK Semiconductor Centre as its first CEO, Andy served as Corporate Vice President of Communications & Cloud at Analog Devices, where he was responsible for the company’s $1B+ portfolio of wireless and wired communications and power products. Prior to that, he spent more than 25 years working in various engineering and senior management roles at Texas Instruments and National Semiconductor.
