Andrew Strudwick

Dr Andrew J. Strudwick is an Application Manager at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) at the University of Manchester and a Chartered Engineer with more than 17 years’ experience in advanced materials research, industrial collaboration and the translation of graphene and two-dimensional materials into practical applications. His career has focused on the development and application of graphene and related 2D materials, spanning chemical vapour deposition, plasma processing, materials characterisation, surface protection, electronics and industrial technology development. He has worked across academic and industrial environments, including roles at large industrial companies and SMEs. In his current role, Andrew leads a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers delivering collaborative research projects with industrial partners. His work combines scientific leadership, technical strategy, stakeholder engagement, project management and mentoring, with a focus on helping organisations explore and apply emerging materials technologies.
