Wave Photonics is a photonic integrated circuit (PIC) design company. It develops computationally-optimised, fabrication-tolerant design libraries and process design kits (PDKs) that enable customers to develop PICs for any wavelength or material platform. Its core technology combines process characterisation, process modelling, FDTD simulation and optimisation to automate component design, letting a complete PDK be adapted to a new fabrication process or wavelength in weeks rather than months. Designs integrate with industry tools including GDSFactory, Siemens, Cadence, Synopsys and Luceda, and are validated by wafer-scale characterisation. The result: fewer iterations, higher yield, and faster routes to volume across telecoms, datacoms, sensing and quantum applications.
