Microelectronics UK 2026 highlights
Across two days, more than 4500 engineers, technical leaders and industry decision makers came together across five stages at Microelectronics UK 2026, held at Excel London on 29-30 September: Semiconductors UK, Photonics UK, Embedded Systems UK, the Discovery Stage and the Startup Launchpad. Sessions covered chip design, advanced packaging, AI hardware, photonic integration and supply chain resilience, alongside 180 exhibitors on the show floor.
Julia Sutcliffe (above), chief scientific adviser in the Department for Business Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST), opened the conference. "The thing that really hits you is the enthusiasm from all of the innovators that are here," said Sutcliffe. "It's fantastic to see the whole ecosystem on display. Bringing it all together is super important because that's how we're going to drive economic growth for the UK."
