Keywave Technology Showcased Breakthrough Radar ICs and Announced Strategic IoT Partnership with SG Wireless at Microelectronics UK 2025

At this year’s Microelectronics UK, held 24-25 September at Excel London, Keywave Technology unveiled its latest radar integrated circuit (IC) innovations - the KW007 and K330 Sensor ICs - and announced a major strategic partnership with SG Wireless, the IoT subsidiary of Season Group.
Across two days of live demonstrations, visitors to the Keywave booth saw firsthand how the company’s ultra-low-power radar chips deliver exceptional performance for next-generation sensing applications while dramatically reducing energy consumption.
In a significant milestone for the company, Keywave signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SG Wireless to co-develop next-generation IoT products powered by Keywave’s cutting-edge radar IC technology. The partnership combines:
-
Keywave Technology’s expertise in radar chip design, and
-
SG Wireless’s IoT connectivity, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities.
Together, the two companies aim to accelerate the delivery of innovative, energy-efficient IoT solutions to global markets.
“Keywave’s entry into the UK’s semiconductor ecosystem is a welcome boost to our innovation landscape,” said Laura Foster, Associate Director, and Elis Thomas, Programme Manager for Tech and Innovation at techUK. “Their radar ICs are a perfect fit for the UK’s growing demand for low-power, high-performance sensing technologies, and we’re excited to support their journey.”
The collaboration is also strengthened by SG Wireless’s close relationship with Season Group, which enables a seamless design-to-production process through its manufacturing facility in Havant, UK - helping customers bring new products to market faster.
“Keywave’s radar technology addresses a real need in the IoT market for smarter, low-power devices,” said Carl Hung, CEO at Season Group and SG Wireless. “Our collaboration combines radar innovation with design expertise to deliver practical, energy-efficient solutions that move seamlessly through our design-to-manufacturing pipeline for quicker time-to-market.”
Establishing a UK R&D Hub
As part of its long-term commitment to the UK, Keywave Technology confirmed plans to establish a dedicated Research and Development hub to drive innovation in radar and IoT technologies. The new facility, expected to be located in the South East of England, will act as a centre for advanced chip design, prototyping, and collaboration with UK universities and industry partners.
“The UK’s thriving tech ecosystem and supportive industrial strategy make it the ideal location for our next phase of growth,” said Jenny Cheng, CEO at Keywave Technology. “We’re excited to contribute to the UK’s innovation landscape and build a team that will shape the future of energy-efficient sensing and connectivity.”
John Edwards, Director of the Office for Investment, added: “Keywave has an ambitious vision for the UK. We are proud to support their growth. This exemplifies the kind of high-impact investment the UK is keen to attract—combining global expertise with local innovation.”
This investment supports the UK Government’s wider strategy to attract high-value technology projects and foster regional innovation clusters, reinforcing the country’s position as a global hub for advanced electronics and IoT development.
